SIAK e.v.: Expanding Operations of a Non-Profit Innovation Network: Market Analysis and Business Planning
The Science and Innovation Alliance Kaiserslautern e. V. (SIAK) is an internationally visible network in the extended science and innovation region of Kaiserslautern. In addition to research in the key areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), it promotes the practical application of scientific findings in transformation processes of digitalization and sustainability for its members.
The aim is now to establish a commercial business operation in order to be able to actively act as a consortium leader in EU-funded transformation projects, for example. The research project therefore deals with the creation of a business case for three business areas, including market and competition analysis.
Hornbach: Redefining Retail: Technological Innovations in the Retail Store of the Future
Hornbach Baumarkt AG is an operator of DIY stores and garden centers based in Bornheim (Palatinate). The Hornbach Baumarkt Group operates 169 megastores with garden centers and online stores in Europe with sales of EUR 6.263 billion (2022/23).
The retail industry is facing major changes, driven by advanced technologies that will completely change shopping in the next decade. The aim of the project work is therefore to provide retailers with insights and recommendations for the use of digital technologies to improve the shopping experience and build customer relationships through a Delphi study with DIY store customers.
Your own input would of course also be possible. The language of the project reports is English, but interviews or similar can be conducted in German. All further information can be found here.
