Across Organizational Boundaries: International Research on Resilient Structures

Today, the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Michael Grothe-Hammer from Norwegian University of Science and Technology for a CIDR Talk on interorganizational coordination in emergency response operations. Building on the recent article “Co-fabricating the permanent to enable temporary organizing”, an article co-authored with CIDR-member Professor Gordon Müller-Seitz, the talk highlighted how actors in high-reliability and security-critical environments jointly create robust yet adaptable coordination structures across organizational boundaries. The discussion once again underlined the importance of international collaboration and interdisciplinary exchange for advancing our understanding of resilient organizing under conditions of uncertainty.
