Master Seminar: New Technology and Current Trends in Accounting
The master's seminar “New Technology and Current Trends in Accounting” offered in the summer semester is aimed at students of the master's specialization “Financial Management and Accounting” with a strong interest in accounting. The content of the seminar is dedicated to highly topical issues relating to sustainability reporting in accounting.
To apply for a seminar place, please register for the course in KIS by the start of the lecture period of the summer semester and send us a short informal email to accounting@wiwi.rptu.de.
Once the seminar places have been allocated, the subject areas specified by the chair on the overarching seminar topic will be assigned to the participating students in a mandatory kick-off event, taking their preferences into account as far as possible. Further attendance dates will take place, at which both further basics will be taught and the participants themselves will give short presentations on their subject areas.
Finally, the participants develop a proposal in a written seminar paper to answer a research question that they have developed themselves. Participation in the master's seminar is a prerequisite for writing a master's thesis at the chair.
