Bachelor Theses
Application and allocation take place via the regular process of the department via KIS.
1. Application and procedure
- Applications for Bachelor's theses in the department usually take place in the last week before the start of lectures. Please visit the department's website for more information: https://wiwi.uni-kl.de/studium/rund-ums-studium/rund-um-pruefungen/
- You will then receive an acceptance or rejection letter at the beginning of the lecture period.
- Within the first few weeks of the semester, there is a joint kick-off meeting for admitted students.
- During the kick-off, students can submit their own topic suggestions. Alternatively, topics are suggested by the chair. These topics are generally within the research focus areas of the chair.
- The processing time and submission deadline depend on the examination regulations and registration date - as a rule, the processing time is 3 months. The scope is approx. 35 pages (+/- 10%).
2. general conditions
- Theses at the chair can be written in English or German. (We recommend writing the thesis in English).
- Research-oriented literature theses are regularly assigned.
- Theses in conjunction with practice partners are not possible for Bachelor theses due to the very short processing period.
- A topic can only be worked on by one person at a time.
3. final presentations
All students present the results of their work in a colloquium towards the end of the semester.
4. submission
Each student must submit the following material by the end of the official deadline:
- By e-mail: The thesis must be sent as PDF and DOC(X) to the supervisor.
- Submit two hardcover / physical copies of the thesis to the responsible examination office or send them by the deadline. (Please clarify details for postal delivery with the examination office.)
5. templates
Word templates and further information for final theses will be provided.
