Central Student Advisory Service
Deciding on the right course of study can be a major challenge and there are many factors to consider, such as personal interests, values, career aspirations and financial opportunities. Support from professional counselors can help to make the path to studying easier and to plan a suitable career path.
Counseling can also help students deal with study-related difficulties and (re)find the right path for themselves.
Counseling is free of charge, confidential, open-ended and neutral. The aim of counseling is to develop individual solutions together.

Psychological counseling
The Psychological Counseling Center of the Studierendenwerk Kaiserslautern offers professional help for students with psychological problems.
Students at RPTU Kaiserslautern and Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences can discuss their difficulties from all personal areas of life here.
The Psychological Counseling Center offers professional help in personal conflict and crisis situations as well as with study-related psychological problems, for example with
- anxiety
- depressive moods
- contact difficulties
- Learning and work disorders
- relationship problems
- self-esteem doubts
After an initial clarifying discussion, a joint decision is made on a case-by-case basis about possible further discussions to solve the problem.
This service is aimed exclusively at students of RPTU Kaiserslautern and Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences and is free of charge.
