2022

GRONEN Conference: Best PhD Student Paper Award

Cynthia Friedrich and Prof. Dr. Katharina Spraul received the Best PhD Student Paper Award at the GRONEN 2022 research conference for their paper “Either you need me, or I'm leaving!” How sustainability managers influence the legitimacy process”. The award was sponsored by the ASF (A Sustainable Future) platform.

Aim2Flourish Prize Finalist

The story “Sewer Heat Exchanger - The Predominant Way To Perform The Heat Transition!” by Johannes Claren and Betül Coban, supervised by Dr. Julia Hufnagel and Prof. Dr. Katharina Spraul, for the platform Aim2Flourish, is nominated for the 2022 Flourish Prize out of 84 finalists.

2021

Outstanding Review Award

Dr. Julia Hufnagel was presented with the 2021 Outstanding Review Award by the Management, Spirituality, and Religion (MSR) Interest Group at the Academy of Management 2021 Annual Meeting. The award recognizes outstanding reviewing activities.

 

Nomination for the Distinguished Teaching Award

Prof. Dr. Katharina Spraul was nominated for the Distinguished Teaching Award this year.

With the Distinguished Teaching Award, the Technical University of Kaiserslautern recognizes outstanding commitment and excellent performance in academic teaching. The award recognizes teaching staff who excel in the areas of teaching, examination, advising and mentoring of students.

Ms. Teresa Körber, M.Sc., received the study award from Stadtsparkasse Kaiserslautern for her outstanding academic achievements. Ms. Körber presented her Master's thesis “Development of a holistic sustainability standard using the example of Dr. Hauschka Skin Care”. The chair team would like to congratulate her.

Aim2Flourish Prize 2020 Finalist

The story “Wind and Solar Energy as an Efficient Source of Energy” by Sevilay Akkus and Deniz Cinar, written as part of the study project for the Aim2Flourish platform, has been nominated for the 2020 Flourish Prize among 76 finalists.

2019

Doctoral Prize of the Haaß Foundation

Dr. Eva Kiefhaber has been awarded the Haaß Foundation's doctoral prize for her outstanding dissertation. Dr. Kiefhaber received this award for her thesis “Sustainability in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises: An Empirical Investigation of Drivers on Individual, Organizational, and Network Level”. The chair team would like to congratulate her.

MSR Fetzer Scholarship Award

Dr. Julia Hufnagel receives the MSR Fetzer Scholarship Award from the Fetzer Institute and the Management, Spirituality and Religion (MSR) Interest Group of the Academy of Management.

The mission of the Fetzer Institute is to “create a spiritual foundation for a loving world”. The award is endowed with 2,000€.

The story “Brunck Residential Quarter - Energy-Efficient and Sustainable Housing” by Patrick Theisen, Vadym Lutskyy, Lorenzo Burcheri, and the Sustainability Project Team Kaiserslautern of the Technical University of Kaiserslautern (TUK), written as part of the study project for the Aim2Flourish platform, has been nominated for the 2019 Flourish Prize among 76 finalists.

Ms. Miriam Zech, M.Sc., received the study award from Stadtsparkasse Kaiserslautern for her outstanding academic achievements. Ms. Zech presented her Master's thesis “Co-Creation as a concept for stakeholder involvement in sustainably oriented companies”. The chair team would like to congratulate her.

Teaching award of the state of Baden-Württemberg

Prof. Dr. Katharina Spraul receives the teaching award of the state of Baden-Württemberg for the course “Service Learning in New Public Management” at the University of Mannheim. The combination of scientific seminar content and practical application through this didactic method was emphasized.
