Business administration with technical qualification
Bachelor
The Business Administration with Technical Qualification degree programme is designed in a similar way to a traditional business administration degree programme. In addition to the primarily economic training, the degree programme is supplemented by subjects from a technical field, which enables students to focus on a technical aspect within the business administration degree programme. Graduates are thus able to consider technical aspects in economic issues in both academic and professional practice. The Bachelor's degree programme in Business Administration with a technical qualification primarily enables students to independently identify economic problems, develop solutions on a scientific basis and develop alternative courses of action.
The course offers an insight into business decisions at a strategic, organisational and analytical level. Students should be able to compare, evaluate and critically assess central models and theories of the economic profile areas and the technical profile area. Furthermore, students should have acquired and be able to reproduce large amounts of theoretical and methodological knowledge, understand new scientific problems and tasks and be able to transfer the knowledge they have learnt to them.
In basic lectures from the technical field, students also gain a precise insight into the essential ways of thinking in the technical discipline. In addition, students should have made decisions, set priorities and distributed tasks through the preparation of seminar papers and the results presented jointly in the group. In doing so, each student should have taken responsibility for themselves or their own task in the group. Furthermore, students should be able to develop their own solution approaches based on established theories and methods as well as recognise interdisciplinary problems and develop possible contributions of business administration to the solution of such problems. In addition, students should be able to reflect on the social background of business administration and explain its significance for the present
