What you`ll do

 

Summary:

 

We are looking for highly talented individuals to join the team, where open collaboration with our stakeholders and with the engineering teams is the key to success. You have the ability to quickly grasp complex architecture and integration approaches, map these to solutions and capabilities on our platform to ensure successful implementation or migration according to tight timelines. You will be working closely with some of SAP’s best and brightest engineers to continuously improve and drive feature innovations based on stakeholder requirements. You have the consultative and leadership qualities to both listen to the stakeholder’s needs whilst at the same time guiding and nurturing them towards the best possible solution. Your mature and developed communication style enables you to both speak to teams of solution architects as well as to convey these topics to executives or lay persons in reports or presentations.

 

In this central role you support the Converged Cloud Product Owner as well as the PlusOne Leadership Team with the tasks as follows:

 

  • You work closely with the experts to understand the underlying cloud infrastructure. You work on different tooling to improve our existing build-up & decommissioning processes, such as Netbox.
  • You help shaping the ProcessOperations Team with all required workflows, communication streams and reporting to build the bridge between different engineering teams. You coordinate the meetings to enhance the transparency and remove silos between different engineering teams to discover dependency.
  • You constantly analyze and develop our support-related as well as central processes with regard to potential efficiency gains. You define appropriate measures and put them into practice.
  • You support general team coordination tasks in a multinational team of more than 100 members

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree/Diploma in (International) Business Administration, Business Informatics, Economics or Industrial Engineering at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Computer skills: Strong skills in MS Excel and Power Point
  • Language skills: fluent in English (spoken and written), German is a plus
  • Background in Cloud industry-specific processes is a plus
  • Technical background or education to understand new features and software services is a plus
  • Soft skills: Excellent presentation, communication and problem-solving skills, have a thorough way of working with accuracy, take proactive initiatives, self-dependent and structured mode of working, high level of commitment and reliability, ready to work in a constantly changing, floating environment, fun working in a multinational team

The Central Engineering Team is a globally diverse and innovative team and the heart of SAP Converged Cloud – the unified global Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform for SAP products based on Kubernetes and OpenStack. This internal Infrastructure-as-a-Service platform is deployed worldwide in 15 regions to support all of SAP’s cloud businesses on a global scale. The Central Engineering Process Operations Team is the “control center” for all development and operations teams contributing to SAP Converged Cloud. It is the connector between all teams and helps with processes, products, tools, communication, and various central functions to smooth collaboration and enable end-to-end ownership for our platform. This also includes forecasting & budgeting, the coordination and tracking of our infrastructure build-up and decommissioning processes in SAP data centers.
